The Neal Thompson Fence Post Driver
The Neal Thompson Fence Post Driver
The Neal – Thompson fence post driver was made in limited quantities at the New Forge Shadingfield in the 1960’s. It was designed by Mr Eric Neal, the forge owner, and Mr Frank Thompson of Moat Farm, Shadingfield.
The photographs show Eric demonstrating the device, along with Gerold Brown on the tractor. The New Forge was demolished some years later to make way for new housing.
